|The finished wall quilt.|
Last Friday (just like today), I took a "Me Day" vacation day to have some time to myself and quilt. I have had very little quilting time since Christmas break from work, so I am burning up some extra vacation days to relax, have these days to myself, and catch up on quilting projects.
I used last Friday to do the binding and finally finish up this wall quilt. It's a Winter Whispers kit that I purchased four years ago at Road to California, and finally pieced and machine quilted this past Christmas vacation when I rented some computerized longarm time at Quilter's Garden in Yorba Linda (their website still has their old address in Anaheim).
I fell in love with the entire Winter Whispers series when I first saw it at Road, and knew my outdoorsman husband would really dig this eagle pattern. I intended to finish it up over Christmas break and have it ready to hang in our family room as our post-Christmas winter wall quilt, but that just didn't happen. So now it's ready for next winter.
